I’m trained as a philosopher and now work for BioLogos, the science and faith organization founded by Francis Collins.
I write books and articles at the intersection of science and faith, especially drawing on both disciplines to understand what it means to be human. I host the BioLogos podcast, Language of God. I speak in various venues, usually on science and faith topics (but inquiries on other topics are welcome).

On the BioLogos Website
In a recent BioLogos essay, Are Humans Just Animals? Scripture, Science, and Identity, I explore why questions about human uniqueness, creatureliness, and meaning keep resurfacing—and how Scripture and evolutionary science together offer a richer story than either can tell alone.

What I’m Working On
I’m preparing for an upcoming episode of Language of God with Marilynne Robinson. I’m reading her book Reading Genesis and looking forward to a conversation that ranges from biblical interpretation to her long-standing reflections on science, modernity, and human dignity. The episode will explore how Robinson reads Scripture with literary and moral attentiveness, and how that posture reshapes the often-fractured conversation between faith and scientific understanding.
